Travels - Poland Krynica Zdroj January 2018

First trip of 2018 was to Poland to Krynica Zdroj with my boyfriend and our friends for a week. Krynica is the biggest spa town in Poland often called the Pearl of Polish Spas; and a popular tourist and winter sports destination situated in the heart of the Beskids mountains. We arrived on Saturday morning in Rzeszow and hired a car, after that we made a journey which took two and half hours to get to Krynica. In the evening we went ice skating with my family and after they suprised me with a birthday cake because my birthday was two days before coming to Poland. For five days we would get up in the morning at about 7 or 7.30 in the morning to be precise to get ready, have breakfast and then go to the slopes for 9 or 10. We would spend the whole day there, have lunch at the top of the slopes and after carry on snowboarding. After snowboarding we would usually go get dinner and we tried so many restaurants but we only found 2 that we really liked. On Tuesday because the slope we were going to was closed due to the bad weather we went to a lake called 'Czarna mlaka', it is a lake on top of a mountain which is really rare so it's one of the attractions of the area, unfortunately it was frozen. We also went to see the town and the other attractions like 'Gora Parkowa' but because it was so cold and it was like -5 degrees we ended up going back home at like 6. On the last day which was Saturday we said bye to my family which lives in the area and made our way back to the airport. Unfortunately the journey way back took a lot longer as we got caught in a really bad weather which at the time seemed amazing because it was snowing so much and everything was white. So we ended up stopping and playing in the snow, making a snowman and having a snow fight. Once we got to the airport after everything else just went smoothly and we got back to London safe and the journey was only two and half hours long, so the plane journey was pretty quick. You can have a look at the pictures below and I hope you enjoy a bit of a read and looking at the photos.
